At Cirencester Golf Club its's our belief that anyone who has ever picked up a golf club can improve. We work with each individual that we teach, understanding that there is a "model swing" that we'd like to achieve, however we understand that over 90% of golfers we see can't achieve this. We therefore work with peoples capabilities, trying to get the most out of their game. We will certainly not baffle you with confusing "jargan" or try and get someone to do too much at any one time. In golf sometimes less is more!

Ed Goodwin
I am the Head Professional at Cirencester Golf Club. I began teaching over 12 years ago having started my chosen career at Cotswold Hills golf club. I now teach a wide range of golfers from complete beginner to a former European tour player. I joined Cirencester in 2005 and in that time I have tried to provide a friendly welcoming environment for both members and non members alike. Throughout the year I play in West Region Tournaments and in 2008 came 2nd on the West Region Order of Merit. I also compete in local pro-ams with golf club members. I took on the shop and over the five years have tried to offer a wide range of products and services with a personal touch.

James Harraway
I turned Professional in 2005 and completed my PGA Qualification in 2009. I enjoy all aspects of the Profession whether it be retail, repairs or coaching and I also enjoy competing Professionally on both the West Region and the Gloucestershire & Somerset PGA. When coaching I like to keep things simple, I work alot on the basic principles of the golf swing and I believe that it is key for the pupil to enjoy the experience and understand the issue in order to improve.

I became a member of Cirencester Golf Club at the age of 12 and soon realised that I wanted to become a Professional Golfer. At the age of 16 I began a National Diploma in Sport, Performance & Excellence in Golf at Hartpury College. I was lucky enough to be appointed First Team Captain for our college league matches because of my match records and attitude towards my golf, I also represented the County Team at a National Schools competition. I began working for Ed in April 2009 and in 2011 I decided to tur Professional. I am now studying on the PGA Foundation Degree based at The Belfry Golf Club that is affiliated with The University of Birmingham. PGA COACHING
At Cirencester we provide coaching for all abilities. Even though we are a private facility many people feel that they can start their golfing life here in a relaxed and non intimidating environment. The covered driving range and par 3 course offer the opportunity for new golfers to learn and hone their skills before the challenge of a full length golf course.
