Seniors_Section__January_2012_Stableford-1.doc Tom_Wells Putter - played Jan 2012.doc February 2012 Stableford With the fairways and greens frozen it was still possible for Cirencester Seniors to play their monthly stableford competition. However getting a good score depended on a degree of course management and guile to deal with these conditions. Nobody did this better than wily Alan Adey who took Division 1 with a score of 38 points. He got off to a flying start with a two on the second hole. David Clark who also knew how to control the ball on the difficult surface returned 37 points in Division 1. John Hall scored 35 points. His better back nine secured third place from Dave Walters who also scored 35 points. The leaderboard for Division 2 was also dominated by wily old birds who adapted their games to the conditions. Top with 38 points was Roger Randall with Paul Horrell one point adrift in second. Jeremy Briggs' outward nine score of 22 points should have meant a podium place but he had to settle for fourth place with 36 points behind stronger finishing and third placed Tony Lester on the same score.
