Captain’s Welcome

Welcome to the men’s section of our website. The 2012 season begins in earnest on 24th March with the first monthly medal of the year.  The following day sees the Club's inaugral Newcomers' Open Day where the Club showcases the course, the facilities and a hot buffet for a relatively small charge of £10.  Members are encouraged to bring along a friend or colleague and sample the delights of our course.  The A team start their year with a number of friendly fixtures before the first competitive league match against Brickhampton Golf Club at home on 28 April.  The B team have many fixtures this year and are under new management and if you are interested in playing please contact Steve Eastman - his number is in the fixture book.  For the benefit of potential new members and visitors, we have a very active men’s section here and the atmosphere within the club is always friendly and welcoming.  There are no tee times and Buggies and trollies can be used even in the depths of winter.  The course itself is a challenge but can be forgiving in places with no two holes are alike.  Visitors are more than welcome and will not be disappointed with the visit.

I feel priveledged and truly honoured to be the Cirencester Golf Club captain in such a memorable year for the club and hope everyone, members and visitors alike, will make 2012 a year to remember at Cirencester.
